Bun in the Oven

Who came up with that phrase to describe a baby growing inside a uterus? With the patience I am having to endure, it's more of a crock-pot than an oven. This baby's slow-cooking! I am so anxious for her to be here, and I still have four more months of waiting. It doesn't help that it's Spring so every animal (and what now also seems like every human) is bringing a baby into the world at this time. I have seen so many pictures of new born babies on Facebook, and I even have family members who have had babies in the last month. I love seeing all of the babies, but I sure cannot wait to hold my own.
