I Liiiiiiiiiiiive!

Anyone catch my "movie reference" title? I feel like Mushu being awoken after X amount of years.

I am kicking myself for having not written in ten months, especially when the last ten months have been the most life-changing so far. Now I have to play catch-up.... granted most of you get somewhat of an idea of what's going on in our lives via Facebook.

Last summer we pretty much made a split-second decision to move to Boise on blind faith, because we had no job and no place to live. And we have been blessed in SO many ways because of it! We were still in Rexburg, both graduated, and really not progressing. We were at a standstill. And even though I had only been done with school for two years, and still the same age, possibly younger, than many college students, I was starting to become one of those grumpy old ladies who hates going grocery shopping when all the "kids" are out.

Once we decided to move, we knew it needed to happen fast. The next semester was starting in two weeks and if we were going to sell our contract without losing money we would have to be out of our apartment before school started in order for a cute newlywed couple to move in.

Two weeks later we pulled up in front of Niels' sisters' home in Nampa (20 minutes west of Boise), as they graciously invited us in to stay as long as we needed. Niels was able to transfer at his job at FedEx but he took a pay cut/demotion. We weren't planning on it lasting long though, and we were still saving money living with family, so the pay cut wasn't that much of a problem. By October, Niels was offered a full time, graphic design job at a supplement company. A month after that we were approved for a home loan, and by Valentine's day we had the keys to our new home!!

I cannot believe that less than a year after we left Rexburg, we are settled into our home. It feels like we've been here forever. I know that this is where we need to be... at least for now. We will grow out of the home we are in, and I don't expect Niels to stay at his current job for too long. He'll probably want a change after four or five years, but hopefully he'll find a new job in the area so we can stay in our house a little bit longer.
